Balev EOOD
Since 2010 Balev EOOD specializes in cultivation of Lavender in the Dobruja region of northeastern Bulgaria. The unique combination of mild, Continental climate with dry, sunny summers, and rich soil makes Dobruja one of the best regions in Europe for growing Lavender.
Plantation area has grown steadily since 2010, and at the moment, we have close to 130 hectares planted with selected varieties of Lavender. We also have our own steam-distillation plant in a close proximity to the plantation.
Our lavender oil
Our Lavender oil is a 100% natural product, obtained by steam distillation of the lavender flowers (Lavandula Angustifolia Mill.). It is a clear, transparent liquid with a pale yellow color and a pleasant, sweet aroma.
Entire process – from plant cultivation, through harvesting and distillation, to packing and storage of the finished products is controlled by a team of skilled professionals.
Our aim is to offer lavender oil with very good quality at good prices.
Lavender oil benefits
Lavender oil is mainly used in perfumery, cosmetics and aromatherapy. However, it is also widely used in supporting human health. Lavender has the ability to relieve stress, improve mood and sleep, reduce skin irritation, prevent infections, eliminate dandruff and more.
Also, lavender is used in home, to flavor rooms, cabinets, clothes, pillows and against moths.
World trends for lavender
Lavender is one of the most common essential oils in the world.
In recent years, there has been a trend towards increasing consumer preferences in developed countries for products of natural origin, produced in environmentally sustainable way. This is a factor that presupposes an increase in the demand for lavender oil.
Recently, France was the world’s leading producer of lavender oil. However, due to problems with pests and diseases that have been going on for years, the country has given it’s leadership position to Bulgaria.
